Prayer: A Deep Call for Mercy for the Lost
Bible Text: "For He says to Moses, ‘I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” - Romans 9:15.
Lord Jesus Christ,
I come before You with a burdened heart, interceding for those who do not yet know You. Your Word in Romans 9:15 reminds me that mercy and compassion belong to You alone, and I humbly ask for Your mercy to be poured out on the lost. You are the Savior of the world, the One who came to seek and save what was lost, and I cry out to You on behalf of those who are still wandering in darkness.
Lord, You know every heart, every soul, and every life that is far from You. You see the brokenness, the emptiness, and the searching that fills their days. I ask for Your mercy to break through the walls of doubt, fear, and sin that keep them from You. Let Your compassion reach into the deepest places of their hearts, drawing them to Your light.
Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one who is lost. I pray that You would go after those who are far from You—those who are trapped in addiction, bound by lies, or blinded by the distractions of this world. Open their eyes to see Your love, their ears to hear Your voice, and their hearts to receive Your truth.
Father, I ask for laborers to be sent into the harvest field—believers who will boldly share the Gospel with love and compassion. Use me, Lord, as Your instrument to reach the lost. Give me the words to speak, the courage to act, and the love to reflect Your heart to those around me.
Lord, I plead for Your mercy to soften hearts and prepare them to receive Your salvation. Let no one be beyond the reach of Your grace. Break every chain, silence every lie of the enemy, and draw them into the freedom and joy that only You can give.
Thank You, Jesus, for Your unfailing love and Your desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. I trust in Your mercy and Your power to save. May Your name be glorified as lives are transformed by Your grace.
In Your precious and mighty name, I pray,
Amen.
