Prayer: A Heartfelt Cry for Mercy for the Nations
Bible Text: "May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine on us." - Psalm 67:1.
God of All Creation,
I come before You with a heart burdened for the nations of the world, especially those torn apart by conflict, violence, and division. Your Word in Psalm 67:1 reminds me to seek Your grace and blessing, and I cry out to You today, asking for Your mercy to bring peace and healing to every nation in turmoil.
Lord, You are the Creator of all people, the One who holds the world in Your hands. You see the suffering, the pain, and the chaos that plagues so many nations. I ask for Your mercy to descend upon the lands ravaged by war, oppression, and injustice. Shine Your face upon them, O God, and let Your light pierce through the darkness.
Father, I pray for leaders and rulers of nations—those in positions of power and influence. Grant them wisdom, humility, and a heart for justice. Soften hearts that are hardened by pride, greed, or hatred, and replace them with a desire for peace and reconciliation. Let Your Spirit move in the halls of power, guiding decisions that bring healing and hope.
Lord, I lift up the innocent who suffer because of conflict—the children who have lost their homes, the families torn apart by violence, and the communities living in fear. Be their refuge and strength, their ever-present help in trouble. Provide for their needs, protect them from harm, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace, the One who breaks down every dividing wall of hostility. I ask for Your mercy to bring an end to wars, to silence the weapons of destruction, and to replace hatred with love. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Thank You, Lord, for being a God who hears the cries of the broken and who cares deeply for every nation, tribe, and tongue. I trust in Your power to bring healing and restoration, and I pray for the day when all nations will bow before You in worship and unity.
In the name of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, I pray,
Amen.
